Innovative Uses for Toothpaste II
A few days ago, we discovered that apart from cleaning your teeth, you can clean and improve the appearance of many objects by using a little toothpaste.
What you may not know is that it also has cosmetic uses! And in some cases this is related to the care and health of the skin! Isn’t it amazing to learn of the benefits inside a common tube of toothpaste?
Of course, this is not the best solution, but it can help during an emergency! If you have a very visible pimple or blackhead just as you’re getting ready for a party, not to worry! Use a little toothpaste to reduce redness and remove the infection. Don’t do this with an open wound! Apply a small amount of toothpaste to the pimple and let act for a few minutes. Then wash and moisturize with a face tonic. Use this same step to reduce facial blemishes.
If you’re clumsy like me, you probably have a body full of bruises!
One way to relieve the hematoma is by applying a mixture of toothpaste and cream to the skin of the affected area. Wrap with a bandage and leave overnight. In the morning, remove the paste. Repeat for at least a couple of days. It will improve the appearance of the bruise and heal it more quickly.
Toothpaste also helps to calm the itching and reduce the swelling of insect bites, such as mosquitoes, ants and smaller eruptions. However, if there is an infection or more complex symptoms, make an appointment to visit a doctor right away!
Getting burned is horrible! I got burned last week with hot caramel and my hand was full of blisters! This type of second degree burn requires special care. When your burn is superficial it only affects the epidermis. This is a great way to use toothpaste to refresh the skin and alleviate the pain!
First, cool and clean the skin with cold water—not ice. Then apply toothpaste to the burn. When the temperature of the skin is lowered, apply any healing cream.
I tried this a few days ago and the result was excellent! To remove nail polish stains on your nails, to whiten and give them shine, follow these steps: Add toothpaste to your nails and leave for 5 minutes.
Then remove with a nail brush. You will notice the change right away! It also helps to eliminate cracks and will leave a fresh minty scent!
Speaking of a minty aroma, a little toothpaste will help to eliminate the obnoxious stench of foods like onion, fish and garlic. Don’t forget to use a moisturizing cream after the process.
With hair, it also has its uses! For example, gel toothpaste contains the same water-soluble polymers found in many hair gels. If you run out of gel and you want to shape your hair, this is a simple solution!
To remove chewing gum from your hair, apply a small amount of toothpaste and let sit for a little while. It will help the gum to come out easier! The same applies to clothing!
If you’ve dyed your hair in-house and you have stains on your temples or forehead, no worries! Uses a small amount of white toothpaste to remove stains. Always remember to moisturize your skin after using!
And last but not least, you can use toothpaste to exfoliate your skin and clean your face, especially if you have oily skin. But remember—as noted before, always moisturize your skin with a non-oily tonic after treatment. Never apply toothpaste to blisters or open sores! And do not apply to rashes or other unknown skin breakouts! Always consult with a good dermatologist!
Until the next time!
