Replacing Refined Flour in our Favorite Dishes!
Looking healthy is feeling healthy and living healthy! But if we want to live healthy and I never tire of saying it, daily exercise is needed! We also need to avoid excesses and finally, and no less important, we need to always eat healthy!
There are lots of myths surrounding healthy foods. It may seem the only healthy things we can eat are salads and fruits! But this is not true! The body needs various nutrients, which we can get from fruits and vegetables. Other nutrients come from grains, seeds and of course proteins! What about carbohydrates?
The main function of carbohydrates is to provide energy to the body, especially the brain and nervous system. This is why it is so important to add to our diet!
Simple carbohydrates that contain vitamins and minerals are found naturally in fruits, dairy products and vegetables. But it can also be found in refined sugars! The latter provides calories, but lack vitamins, minerals and fibers. These simple sugars are often called “empty calories” and can lead to weight gain.
Similarly, refined flours, sugars and white rice, lack B-complex vitamins and other important nutrients. This is why the healthiest option to get carbohydrates into the body comes from vegetables, fruits and dairy products.
That said, they best way to eat healthy is by watching what you eat! This does not mean you cannot eat foods with refined flours. But if you want to take care of your health and especially if you plan to fit into your favorite swimsuit in the next few days, there are delicious options to replace refined flours with vegetables, even in your favorite dishes!
