Plants that grow in the shade
Generally, we feel plants need sunlight to grow well. However, this is not always the case. For example, in the bottom of the sea there are many vegetables that receive very little, if any, sunlight. This process is known as adaptation, although many times it is confused with evolution. On the other hand, there are plants that receive too much sunlight and progressively die.
Hydrangea is a shade loving plant, which many people like. Its flowers are really beautiful and due to certain chemical reactions, it can have the same species with many different colors. This unique characteristic makes it stand out from the rest.
Gardenia is another famous example. It is most famous for the following three reasons:
Intense green color.
This flower, which resembles a shrub, is ideal for corners around the house. It is impossible not to note how it enhances a room, or adds a splash of color to the garden.
Another option with a lot of variety to choose from is the Hosta plant. The particularity of this plant is its leaves. There are more than 2.000 varieties of colors in combination with whites, grays, blues, etc.
Lilies of the valley are an ideal decorator for gardens with little sunlight. Its small sized flowers give a charming look in whatever environment it can be found. The beautiful aspect of this plant is when some flowers start to fall and orange berries replace them. There is a variety of colors that hang low, in just one plant!
And since we are talking of flowers, we cannot forget to mention the camellia. There are a variety of options, but without a doubt it is an excellent option for those locations where adaptation is difficult. If anything, this beautiful plant shows its power to adapt.
