A hero, fighter for the civil rights of African Americans, participated as an activist and helped the poor in many cases. Born on January 15, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia and murdered on April 4, 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee.

He took the first major steps for voting rights and non-discrimination.
